Rose Journeaux

Kia ora, I am a Registered Social Worker, with extensive experience working in the health and disability sector (both in the community and acute hospital settings). I have experience supporting clients and their whānau around health adjustment, grief & loss and palliative care.

 I work in collaboration with relevant community agencies to ensure people have the necessary resources and support needed to move forward, drawing on solution-focused, holistic, strengths and person-centred approaches, to assist people to identify their goals for wellbeing and the steps needed to achieve this. My practice is aligned with the values of ANZASW and SWRB Code of Practice, with an ongoing commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and social justice. I am currently completing a Masters of Counselling at The University of Canterbury.

 I am committed to lifelong learning and development, and acknowledge the wisdom and experience that my clients possess and draw from during their own healing process.
