About

Kia Ora! I am a registered counselling psychologist here in New Zealand with a clinical background from my native country of Denmark. I studied my Bachelors degree in Psychological Sciences at the University of Westminster in London, UK (2002), followed by a 2-year Masters degree in Psychology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (2005). Following completion of my degrees I undertook clinical training in Denmark and worked in various settings, including a 3-year long run at a Children & Adolescent In-and Outpatient Psychiatric Unit where I trained to administer neurodevelopmental assessments, including for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. In 2012 I moved to New Zealand where I worked for an NGO until I decided to settle down in private practice. I am based at the RangiOra Centre in the town of Rangiora, North Canterbury where I live with my husband and kids. My passion lies within trauma informed therapy and I really enjoy using Parts Therapy and EMDR, but I have training in other modalities, too. I mainly provide therapy for adults, both via ACC Sensitive Claims and private referrals, but I also offer neurodevelopmental assessments for all ages, predominantly assessing for ASD and ADHD. In addition to working clinically with clients, I also offer clinical supervision, which can be both face to face and via telehealth.
