About
Kia Ora, I am a Child and Family Psychologist specialising in therapy and assessment for children and young people aged 5-years to 20-years-old. I care deeply about working in an affirming, collaborative, and growth-focused way with my clients using a bioecological, trauma-informed and neuroscience-aligned approach to service. My main therapeutic approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) however I also draw from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and strengths-based therapeutic approaches. I really enjoy working with neurodivergent adolescents, with a particular interest in supporting young people with ADHD and co-occurring difficulties.
I grew up in North Canterbury and am pleased to have returned to my roots providing services primarily from my Rangiora-based office. When I’m not working, you’ll find me in my garden, launching into some sort of new DIY project, or adventuring with my husband and teenage children.
