Cassandra Rolston

I am a registered psychologist, specialising in trauma treatment. I support people to understand challenges in their lives from new perspectives, develop new skills (such as emotion regulation and distress tolerance), and support people through emotional distress or overwhelm. I work primarily from a relational framework, with a trauma informed approach. This includes a focus on providing a safe, supportive space, where clients can feel understood and experience validation. I am a trained EMDR therapist and enjoy the benefits of EMDR as a treatment for people who have experienced trauma.

I have lived in many different places in New Zealand, mostly in rural areas. I have been around horses most of my life and have been lucky enough to include them in some of my therapy work. I enjoy the arts and the outdoors.
